I've worked many 20 hour days on the farm - not hard physical labor, though. Sitting in (or on) the tractor to get the crop in, or harvested seems to be the really big push in my experience. When working for a friend in the haying business, would get up at 3:00 AM to rake hay until about 5, then bale until noon, then cutting until about 9:30 PM. Did that for about 13 days in a row, then got rained out for a couple days of catch-up sleep. Spent a few days driving for 18 to 20 hours as well. That 1500 mile trip home used to be a 3-day affair, but we've trimmed it to 2-days. Hoping the next time the Mrs. comes along we can drive straight through.
