If the original cut-out relay is good enough to use, use it. It's kinda fun to keep 'em as original as possible, and then to show people just how it works, I kept the cut out on my 1940 Farmall H. It works good, keeps the battery charged, and the tractor always starts. Just gotta remember to keep an eye on the amp guage and know when to select "high charge", or "low charge".
