Hi Josh. If it was me, I would leave the inside of the block alone, and not paint it. Over time the oil will start to break down the paint and chips will start flowing in the oil, and you now risk having oil passages blocked. For the most part, the oil protects the inside of the block and the paint protects the outside of the block. This is just my opinion, for what it's worth. If I'm wrong, someone feel free to comment.
