Hello, I have a Bolens 1886 hydro garden tractor, it has a Kohler motor and it used to run like a top, and had excellent power, well, I got hold of a bad oil filter that the stupid gasket would pop out of place on it and then going unnoticed, it promply drained the motor of oil, so the motor was ran very low on oil twice. The first time it happened, I just figgured my father had made a mistake when putting on the new filter, and hadn't got the gasket in right, so I just reinstalled the same filter making sure the gasket was seated in the groove correctly, and refilled the oil, and started it and let it run for awhile looking for leaks, which there was none. My dad went to using it again, and a short time later, it did it again, the gasket would pop out of the groove on one side and there would be a tremendous oil leak. That time we tossed that filter and put on a new one. Problem is, the motor doesn't knock or smoke, and runs pretty smooth, but it doesn't have much power anymore, and won't throttle up as quickly as it used to. What would you say happened to it?.

A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
