Well it might be a good idea for the son to find another job so he can fund these projects. I feel for ya cause I remember being that age and having the itch for an old car it was almost like an addiciton ya couldn't get it out of your head to ya got the vehicle. I understand your point of view too you have needs like finishing some of your projects to, plus having a bunch of vehicles sitting around sometimes the town can get on ya for having unregistered vehicles, i know in my neck of the woods the towns have been cracking down on vehicles unregistered lying around they usually end up going to the crusher sad cause people don't realize that once they are gone they are gone for good never to return. Back to the subject at hand. I don't like to sound forward but may be your son needs to pound pavement to find another job. The neat thing is you are blessed with doing father son projects that i think is worth the weight in gold I wish I could do that with my dad but it will never happen. The other thing you know your son isn't roaming the streets getting into trouble he will be home working on these vehicles and helping you too!? If you thin of thining down his herd of vehicles you can send them my way just kidding! Take a deep breath and have a father son chat see what happens.
