Line up the notch marked "C" on cam with woodruff key on shaft. Why? Because all Case mags would be a CW, clockwise rotation facing the drive end of mag so the C on cam alines with keyway. The "A" on cam is for a CCW, Anti-Clockwise drive mag. The later Bosch mags are reversible on rotation and you find marks A & C on cam, distributor rotor and impulse parts for that reason. To determine any magneto rotation you go by facing drive end of mag and which direction it turns when impulse trips not the other end.
