Do you know of any military collectors in your area? Sometimes they have connections. I do military restorations for a local collector and he gets ideas for locations of parts and vehicles from his little 'network' of friends. I did a restoration on a halftrack about ten years ago and I know there were a few in Nebraska then because of the military base in Omaha. Most of the half tracks were made by White motors but a few rare ones were made by Diamond T and Autocar and then another version was made by IHC. There's a big military surplus store in Idaho Falls that did have a half track on display (just for display purposes) in the store, a year ago.
