I started on H Farmall, cut/rake hay, plow, disk cultivate. Next step up was M- 3 bottom plow, 4 row cultivator, big disk- bit harder on steering. Currently get to play in the dirt with a 350D- live PTO and hydrualics improvement over H, handles about same. Something about 30-50 hp with ROPS would be good starter/utility for teenager- a 300 IHC would have live PTO for cutting grass/hay. A sister has a VA Case with Eagle hitch- handy for mowing and big garden tractor on acreage, nieces learned on it. D17 used now? Try for something about same general layout. Could maybe get a B IHC with 2 seats- Archives had a couple postings about one setup that way-maybe picture gallery has it, would be a way to watch student driver safely. RN.
