Yes, many times over the years have shared a similar situation. And share it now. Tried all sorts of things and then came up with the answer. You just make a list and carry it with you in your pocket. As things get done you line them out. While that sounds simple I think there is a satisfaction in looking at what needs to be done, which leads to prioritizing what it is that you need to do, and satisfaction when it is completed. Plus, if it's not on the list you know it can be added later when the priority increases and it's not an immediate concern now. Plus, looking at the list frequently makes one less likely to shovel more onto the plate. Works for me now and worked for 35 years. Now I just have to live long enough to get to it all.
