Chocolate Milk or ATF???Vanilla Ice Cream or 80 we

Tractor is a Deere 440I. ATF is what is supposed to be in the Direction reverser case, but when I just drained it it looked more like chocolate milk. This led me to check the trans oil which is supposed to be 80 or 90 weight. This looked like vanilla ice cream that was left in a bowl to melt. Sorry but that is really what it looked like, But it was much thicker! Does this sound like moisture in these oils? I am most worried about the trans. at this point. Maybe somebody can shed some light on this for me?
