The clutch may need to be readjusted but even if it needs replaced at that price it wouldn't bother me. With a set of $100 home built splitter stands two people could put a clutch in one of those tractors in one day (with a little practice it's about a 5 hour job) for just a few hundred dollars in parts. The TA's in the non-turbo'd tractors seem to hold up pretty well, our 706 has 12,000 hours on the original TA, our 826 went 11,000 on the original TA and our 1086 has over 10,000 hours on the original TA.
