I have a 5 level fusion in my lower back. I could barely walk before it was done. The type of treatment your talking about may bring temporary relief but is not a long term cure. I had to herniated discs. Since the surgery, my mobility is much improved. But my pain is 24/7. Unlike Old my lifting ability returned to close to what it was. But do not put it off so that you due permanent damage. Good luck with it.
