Hey Gary: I would put something on there...for safety from the hay if nothing else. I know I guy who had a bale roll down the loader arms, and right over him about 20 years ago. He made it, but he was in the hospital a looong time. However keep in mind I put up bales with my 856, and it only has a Year Around Cab on it..... Pot calling the kettle black here.... Rob
