If you're going to "Vegas" it would be close to a 1/2 day driving trip over to Tulare, but sure worth it if you're farm orientated and maybe not having the best luck there in the gambling joints. There won't be any lodging there close and you'ld surely would want to "stay over" somewhere. (Try phoning ahead or getting reservations right now in that area) It's a huge show..as Ed Sullivan used to say "Really Big Sheowww". Kinda slanted toward California farming...dairying, fruit and nut orchards and vineyards, vegtables and rice growing, but not entirely. I went a couple of times when I lived in the "Big Valley" and really enjoyed it. Some of the displays and exhibits are just amazing. It was very interesting for this midwestern raised farm boy. Good antique Farm Equipment Show there in April on the very same grounds too. Huge dairies around there, no. 1 area in the country for dairying....claim it's bigger than 'ol Wisconsin. (End of California Sales Pitch).
