I have a 1010 Special that I would like to till up about 10 acres with this spring. I have a 1 bottom and 2 bottom plow. I found that I had a lot of trouble with traction on this tractor last year when trying to plow. I have 50% tires but no rear weight. I am going to try to add ballast to the rear tires. Any other ideas? Can I expect to pull my 2 16's with the right amount of traction? I am in South Central Michigan and have pretty heavy clay/loam soil. 2nd question is that much of the area I want to till is planted in either grass mix or clover mix right now. Do I have to spray? Can I plow it under and replant? I want to minimize spray, but I know I won't eliminate it.
