Do as Mark-Wisc. says,Makes no difference if the door swings into the room or the hallway-to the inside of the structure or to the outside, back up to the hinge side,door swings right is a right hand-left swing is a left hand. I always did it that way.Any one with a different formula for determineing swing readily agrees this is a no brainer way to determine door swing. 32 year Union Carpenter Retiree and it always made sense to me.
