Allan, Morn'in! Just came back through, to do some paperwork and check the Boards. Anyway saw your post on here on 4-bladed fans. Went out and looked at my ol girl, She has a 4 bladed fan. You know how hot we get down here in Central Texas in Aug/Sept...100+. Mine has never offered to get hot, unless it has been low on coolant! I an sure yours isn't low on coolant, and everything else is either redone, reworked, or repaired to better than new specs. Sooooo.........could that new thermostat be sticking?? or stuck partially open, so that it wouldn't be noticeable till your are in a heavy pulling situation. It shouldn't but it could. Based on my mediun summer air temp,Tractor full of coolant, that is my guess. You shouldn't need to change out the fan. Or your old girl is turned up at the pump something fierce, and you are making more HP that the radiator can handle in that situation. Just some thoughts, I look forward to what the solution is! Later, John A.
