OT: ROTC

Have any of you gone through an ROTC program? My oldest son will be 14 this summer and has always wanted to become a Marine and a police officer. The high school he"ll start attending in August happens to have a Marine ROTC program and they accept 9th graders. Of course my son is very excited. Just wondering if anyone"s been through a similar program.
