Now this is winter !

Been under 10 deg. F all day, snowing hard, with fine snow, then big snow, then sleet ( must be some warmer air in the mix up there ) never thought I'd see sleet on a day like today. Powdery snow, and the last bit we got did not compact much, ground was frozen before and the cold has been consistent, we may end up with 18" + of ice on the big pond. Not a day for an open cab, although I don't mind it as long as I can hop off and get warmed up somewhere nearby, winter has finally shown up, back in early January it did not seem like we were going to get any cold or snow. This will make for some nice skiing in nearby Vermont, might finally be time to hit the slopes.
