I have 2 vintage Farmalls (B and Super C) in the shed but use my Ford-New Holland, a TC-45 with 45 hp and a 7740SL with 86 hp, for the "work". They have served me well. Check out the availability of used New Hollands on their webite. It is very easy to do a search. Get something you like, but, more importantly, get something that you can get parts and service for locally. No sense in running great distances for parts, etc. Been there, done that! It is amazing what a 45 hp tractor with loader and FWD can do. I sure opened the eyes of a bunch of neighbors in plowing snow yesterday with it. In my mind, if you are going to do loader work, then power steering is a must. Tractors with shuttle transmissions are also very nice for loader work. And if you are going to do much PTO work, then independent PTO is a must.
