They are scrap value only if not running. The salvage value is next to nothing since the 3.8 is not in demand by anyone and nobody in their right mind would install that old of a transmission (especially that one) when getting them rebuilt is not that expensive (when already pulled). Around here cars bring $60-$70 a ton, that thing weighs about 3500 pounds so about $105 less pickup fee.
