An "N" Ford will only lift 800 Lbs., give or take, at the back of the 3-point arms. A bale spear puts the center of the load considerably to the rear of that point, putting the lift at a mechanical disadvantage, compared to a load right at the arms. So, NO WAY is it going to lift MORE weight put on a bale spear than the 800+ pounds it can lift right at the arms.
