Reminds me of a sickle bar mower for a Cub that a friend's father bought from a local dealer some years ago- they told him it had "gone through the shop". After trying to get the bent-up thing mounted, then unsucessfully trying to get it to operate, he called the dealer and opined that apparently, when it "went through the shop", it must have his a couple of posts on the way through. Dealer was unhappy with that characterization, and refused to assist. Buyer ended up dumping it squarely in front of the front door of the dealership during the night. When dealer called to angrily complain, buyer apologized for any inconvenience, but the door was locked, so he could not put it on the owners desk, as he would have preferred.
