I have pulled a 21ft IH 490 with a MM G1050 showing 118 bhp on the dyno and it was a good match. I wouldn't be afraid of the 22 footer. The 475 and 470 would be too light of a disk for my tastes, unless you are disking plowed ground. We have a IH 480 disk which is heavier than the 470-475 and still prefer the weight of the 490. Have also pulled the IH 490 with the JD 830, which really more than it wanted. The two big tractors just play with either disk, so are considering purchasing a 28 ft IH 496.
