I put a 250 with a bunch of Clifford Preformance parts on it in my '72 3/4 ton. That sucker will run considering its only 250 cid. and does great on fuel. Truck had a 454 I removed when I redid it. The BB was hard on fuel and the power didn't impress me. Honestly, I've had both big and small blocks, and none of them turned me on as truck engines. IMO GM put the truck engines in their high end cars(Caddy's for example).....
