Yes - I don't think there was ever a 1010 or 2010 wheel tractor made that had brakes that worked. They were (and are) death-traps on steep hills but fine for flatland. We tried just about everything - in attempts to make them work - at several Deere dealerships. Then Deere came up with a fix - the new generation 1020s and 2020s. What a difference! 1010 crawlers though, are pretty good little machines.
