J...if that IS the right serial #, you have a 1940 9N tractor. as far as manuals go, if you'll look in the left hand margin of this web page, at the very top of the margin you'll see the "marketplace". click on "tractor manuals", log in your tractor type, and you'll find all the manuals you need. if i was you i would go ahead and order all three (if they're offered for your tractor) owners/operators, service, and parts manuals. you'll find they all come in handy sooner or later. if they still have the same offer going on, by ordering two or more manuals, they'll send you a free serial number guide also. hope this helps... -mike
