Leave the gun at home! Take a firearms or hunter safety course. Even though you think you know how to handle a gun, you will learn much from a properly run safety course. I too didn't think 18 year old could have a handgun, some states may have an exemption for farmers, but I am not sure. Do not mess with the cops. dont show them the gun. I will take my chances with the criminals over some of the cops we have now days. A friend of mine once told me never to get in a scrap with something I didn't want shoved up my you know where. It has been good advise.
