BOB I know what you are going thru I am 25 and bought my farm a year ago I couldnot compete with the rowcrop guys that are farming 3000 to 6000 acres in my area so I went another route with animals I got a sow farrowing operation that I bought off of a guy I worked for in high school. The first thing you need to do is talk with a good banker than check into the beginning farmer loans thru the Farm Service Agency office in you county it is low interest govt loan to help us young guys get started. I went to all the trouble now my state senator wants to ban the construction of any more CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations). but that is the only way i could come back and farm If any questions you can email me Clint
