Alot of it depends on you spray application. I you do burndown then the interlock works,if you use preapplication to the soil stagger is best ast it will help with the streaking you willl get in the middle. Install all tyes of those all time on new planters of some kind. Funniy thingis now two guys ever run or want them setup the same. I ran mine in the stagger position but you don't want them very deep, just remove the trash don't make a furrow cause it will rain and you will have gulleys every 30 inches. WARNING some of those units have springs inside of them when you relase for adjust they slam up. Watch youur hands,nose whatever. Been there done that. I have some brand new coulters off of Tool bar that have never been in the ground that you could make use if interested (Yetters).
