One point to remember. Walter Reed is NOT a V.A. hospital, it is an Army facility. So whatever problems it has should not be extrapolated to V.A. facilities. The previous poster is correct. The same people that are crying about the conditions at Walter Reed would be crying about wasting money on a "soon-to-be-closed" facility if the repairs had been made sooner.
