I kind of go along with Drill. The factory man finly told me probably OK, but bring the cables in straigh to you and as far away as you can. Seemed to worry more on the cables than the arc. He realy did not want to talk about it till I pressed him. The biggest thing they keep telling me, is do not lean over an alternator when it is charging. I think-I THINK- that if there was a problem it would just stop the unit from fuctioning if you needed it, not to do any thing bad. I can't believe how many of us have a ICD. Mine 3 years and battery is 2/3 full yet. Just sits there in case I need it. Best damm confort blanket ever invented. (List was 148 thousand)
