NY fields - deer doing the field work - photos

Ground just thawed here in central New York. Upper fields almost bare, lower fields sill have a two feet of snow in places. Only work being done in the fields is by the deer and turkey. I walked my fields this morning - where I could - found a few deer that died over the winter - and a lot of live ones. They are pretty hungry. Upper fields were planted in buckwheat last year - but I think the turkeys picked it all clean. The deer are almost climbing the spruce and cedar trees and eating the needles.
