Our last truck is a "96 F-250. I wanted a standard shift, and just about didn't buy this one because it wasn't. My wife was far more comfortable with the automatic. Plus it was a great buy at the time. The only thing I felt that I gave up was a few MPG. If it were standard, She would never drive it. Nowadays, whenever we do drive through a dealer lot, they don't even carry a 3/4 ton or ton trucks. We'll use this one for as long as we can, another ten years would be nice.
