I purchased a sock for a fuel pump at NAPA. The box had obviously been opened at least once before. The owner checked the box,I saw the part, I paid for it and went home. Opened the box and found it be empty. When I went back to that NAPA store, they were willing to sell me another one, but no discount or price break. I now have stores tape boxes shut that have been opened previously, and have not returned to that NAPA. Not exactly the same problem you have, but sometimes we have to move on and be more careful the next time. "If you loan a friend $20 and you neversee him again, it was probably worth it"
