garden tractor purchase

I could use some helpful advice about my garden tractor I want to buy this summer. I wish to get something to be able to work my soil in the garden better and I would like to know what I should be looking for?. I was talking to my neighbor, Tom, the other day, and he suggested I buy John Deere, and he thinks I should get a 9620 to run my tiller, I would like to know if you all think a 9620 would be a good choice or if you think it might be underpowered?. I sure hope it won’t be underpowered for tilling like my 5hp Troy built huffy I got now is. What kind of mower decks can you get for this rig?. My old Sears is trying to expire on me!.
