guess I should read a little more carefully. I see that you have listed that as one you tired. Did you try running it while in safe mode? IF you go to www.filehippo.com there are other adware and spybot scanners there as well. I also like to look through the add/remove programs list and remove what I don't recognize. Hijackthis is available from filehippo.com but you have to know what you are doing to use it. Generaly if I see something I don't recognize listed in Hijackthis I do a google search on it and see what comes up.
