Early 77's were highboy's, later one's were not. I had a stock 76 F250 4x4 which was considered a "highboy" and had 35's with plenty of room. However, I personally would not buy another one. They had terrible steering and an extra driveshaft which means 2 more u-joints to replace and that many more places to develop vibration. That being said, the price seems reasonable even for a parts truck especially if it really has a dana 60 front end $$$$. Most (including mine) had a dana 44 w/reverse cut gears and large dana 60 looking hubs (I was told the large hubs were part of a "snowplow package"). Some people just look at the hubs and assume the axle is a 60, but it's not.
