OT: Florida Vacation question

I hope/plan to take the kids on a road trip from West Texas to Florida this summer. I really want them to see some "agriculture" from other parts of the country. I was hoping to find some nice orange or lime orchard and/or sugar cane or berry farm that gave tours or at least "pick your own" so the kids could see more than the corn/wheat we have out here. Does anyone have any recommendations? We'll probably be heading down to I-10 in Louisiana and across going east and hope to go as far south as the Keys south of Miami. Thanks for any advice,

Howard PS - I also read on the Internet someone cussing "no-see-ums" down on the coast calling them the worst biting insect in the world. I've never heard of them. Are they really that serious? Or at least seasonal? Or localized? Or had we better be worried when we get to the beach??
