Thanks Allan and thanks to the others with intelligent answers. I've been out of touch with the gas engine world--mostly fool with diesels these days.

We already found a local dealer for the fellow--he's in VA. His boat has a Mercruiser engine with a crack in the block. He'll be switching over all the marine parts and probably resuse the heads and cam too.
