I used to turn mine off at night when it was new... (Dell 2400, Windows XP home)...but after the fifteenth or maybe thirty-seventh Windows patch for security holes and backdoors, it started taking two-three tries to get it started again, so I'm down to putting it on Standby (and it's still telling me I've got more patches on patches to download)...if I wasn't a really positive person, always ready to see the best in everyone, and especially in supra-national megacorporations, I'd consider the possibility they designed it full of holes...
