Howard, How long can I let that wheat go before I have to decide wheather to hay it or not? It's over knee high,in the boot with about an inch of beard showing. Not firing at the roots yet, but sure looks as tho it's going to just any day now because its getting darker and darker. I pulled these upper joints at 6am this morning and they have been laying here in the office all day; the top leaves aren't curled in the field. Oh yeah, planted in last year's alfalfa ground so it's hot soil. :>( Thanks, Allan

I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation.
