leaded gas old tractors

FYI: Have a JD3020. Got it used. Started but would always run on 3 for a half minute. Put that Lead Supreme (now Octane Supreme) 130 in my gas since I had it. After a couple tanks through it now, no more starting on 3. Starts on all 4 now. Lead lubricating old valves & making them work like they should???
