Need some ideas. Part 2

Well I have a live trap set up right now. But this coon is/was smart. I have it baited with cat food in a little tuna fish can. Well he was sitting there on the out side and putting his paws in and was pulling the food out. I think I shot him but can't be 100% sure. I would have shot a couple more times but the gun jammed. Went and looked for blood but didn't see any. He did seem to roll over before he ran off so maybe I got him. I know I'll be going out a few more times tonight but will always have the gun in hand when I do so. I just hope it doesn't jam again. I'd use a shot gun but I don't want to mess up the trap
