I went to the demo derby at the fair last night, which also had 2 rounds of combine's. the 1st heat was 2 old Gleaners (sorry Allan) and a Massey, the massey snubbed out and he was counted out just as he got restarted, so he'll probably be back next year again with it. One of the Gleaners lost a fluid filled drive tire and could only go in circles. After lettign him spin around for 5 minutes they finally counted him out and the other Gleaner won. Second heat had another Massey, The Gleaner Lee, a JD, and a New Holland. I think the second Massey snubbed out also and was having problems restarting. The NH lost it's head after lots of smashing so it was down to the Gleaner and the JD- they rammed each other head on alot and finally the Gleaner won. It was a good one this year, unlike last year where everyone and their sister who were in it had JD combines.... They all broke down and nobody wanted to make a hit... Donovan from Wisconsin
