I have probably seen as many radiators with oil in them As Any one,You should have seen my neighbors IH 5088 last fall,Black oil all over the hood and runing down the side of the tractor,the oil cooler was leaking and beings the oil is under pressure it will put A lot of oil in the cooling system fast,I have seen A number of Detroit Diesels do this in my 40years plus of servicing these engines.With enough oil in the cooling system they will also over heat easly.I would not recommend running any piece of equipment where there is A question of A bad cooling system,A cracked head will would cost A lot more than finding out for sure what the problem is.
