I'm by New Ulm. Missed every rain there was, same deal tonight. Thundered & lightened, got 4 drops I saw. West of me got 2 tenths or more. 1988 was worse, but not by much any more. Haven't had more than .25 in a rainfall since May. Dad said back in '88 that it was worse than anything in the dust bowl days. I'd have to say this is the 2nd worse then in the past 80 years or so. I have very deep water holding soils, but the corn just has nothing left to find any more. One bean field is starting to go too now. Won't need all that storage they were afraid they'd need around here for the 'big' corn crop. --->Paul
