Actually I would suggest you do a little more research about oil molecules. But no matter, just two different opinions. In 200,000 miles of driving, changing your oil every 3000 miles you will change your oil about 67 times, or about 100 gallons of oil if you have a 6 quart pan. If I stick to the 25,000 mile changes that is about 8 oil changes or 12 gallons of oil to do basically the same thing. People are wasteful these days because they have more expendable income so they can do whatever they believe is right. If you think it takes 100 gallons of engine oil to go 200,000 miles spend away. Engine oil usage could be cut down 80% if people would just listen and learn a bit about it. Oil companies love people like you.
