Hello, My 1948 Silver King needs some help. Two years ago, it ran fine before I started tearing it apart for restoration. I did very little to the motor, only adjusting valves, and checking everything else. Now, I have everything back together but the engine won't run. It will pop a few times and then quit. I have checked the timing, disassembled and checked the carb twice and still have the same problem. I have about 75 pounds of compression (it had 115 when hot last time I checked it before restoration). With the way it wants to run, then quits I keep coming back to the carb. I have tried adjusting the main screw and the idle air screw but nothing seems to help. Could I have the valves adjusted bad? Would this cause the engine to fire a few times and then quit. Also, I have all new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil. Each plug sparks with a nice blue spark. Let me know what you guys think, I have a show coming up I would like to take it to but not if it won't start. Thank you, Jason
