AGM Batteries are not as needing precise charging as gell cells were/sre. I used gell cells in my boat for 12 years and they needed to be charged at no more than 13.9 volts. I replaced them with AGM (Flat plates) and they could be charged from 13.8 to 14.4 according to the sellers recommendation. Used them for 6 years before I sold the boat. The military uses AGM batteries and I would not hesitate to use them in my tractor if I needed a new battery.Theyy can sit discharged for a long time and then return to full charge status.
